More cards!

Another mini catch up.

I'll start with Christmas card of the week!  This week I've used the 'Reason for the Season' stamp set from the main catalogue and teamed it with the Oval Layering Framelits and the Stitched Shapes Framelits:

Then I did a close up on the 2 notecard options that the ladies made at the last party I did.

The little Crumb Cake cards are a great size and I've used the Avant Garden and Delicate Details SAB stamp sets:

This z-fold card uses the 'Party with Cake' and 'Cool Treats' stamp sets.

I'll be back next time with details of some new releases in the Sale-a-bration freebies!

Reason for the Season

More inspiration from the annual catalogue today - don't forget there are lots of ideas and examples in there.

This Christmas set stayed in from last year and has been a little forgotten with the new seasonal catalogue coming out, it's called Reason for the Season.

I've used the Regals colour combo of Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green (with a teeny hint of Crushed Curry!).

The sentiment is from the same set and stamped with black memento, as is the image before I've stamped over it in colour.

I've also used:
Lots of Labels framelits
Festive Flower Builder punch
Project Life corner punch
Metal rimmed pearl

There are some good offers coming your way from 1st October too so keep watching!

Congrats

I was given a commission this week for an engagement card so I used it as an opportunity to play with the Blooms & Bliss DSP.

This is an A5 card I've made from Rich Razzleberry to pick out one of the colours from the paper.

The Congrats and hearts are from the Sunshine Wishes thinlits and also pick up colours from the paper which apart from having Rich Razzleberry are Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum and Blushing Bride.  They are layered on a couple of Lots of Labels framelits.

I have used 3 layers of Congrats in different colours although the picture doesn't show it brilliantly.

Finished with a little bakers twine and some pearls.

My first Christmas pre-order comes tomorrow so watch this space!

Sending a smile your way

A different combination but still using Night of Navy today:

This paper is from the Affectionately Yours Speciality DSP set and also features the colour Crumb Cake.

I have just simply cut a piece and layered it on to the cards.

The sentiment is from the co-ordinating stamp set Love and Affection (cut out using the new Oval Layering Framelits) and I've stamped a couple of the flowers from this set on Crumb Cake and cut them out as they are the same size as the images on the paper.  These are then added with 3D pads for some dimension.

A few pearls to finish again.

Congratulations Florals

Following on from yesterday's DSP this card features the new Detailed Floral Thinlits which go rather well with it:

It cuts an absolute treat with the precision plate in the Big Shot.

The die can be split in to two parts but for this card both parts are used on one piece of card.
I have simply mounted it on to some thick Whisper White and added some pearls.

Finished with a sentiment from the Floral Phrases co-ordinating stamp set which I've cut out with a Project Life thinlit and a touch of Night of Navy thick bakers twine.

Just Peachy

A little Bookmark/Tag just to show off one of the Floral Affection embossing folders.

The image is embossed on Peekaboo Peach card and I've added some Pearl Basic Jewels and In Colour Enamel Shapes to finish it off.

The corners are rounded and then it is mounted on a strip of card which has been cut with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.

Some matching ruched ribbon to finish of course!

My Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day.

This is an easy card but still very effective.

It uses the Bloomin' Heart thinlit which is rather beautiful.
I've cut it out using Mossy Meadow card and then die cut the flowers from the same set (in Crumb Cake) and added a few on top and finished with some pearls.

The sentiment is from the Bloomin' Love set that co-ordinates with the dies and I've added an itty bitty heart in Rose Red for a finishing touch.

Wildflower Butterfly

This card is one that you really need to see in real life to appreciate the paper.

I've used Thick Whisper White for the base card and added a layer of the Wildflower Fields DSP that is currently a free Sale-a-bration item.

The paper is definitely one of those scrummy sets that it is a shame to use - but I am trying.

I have also used:

Stamps - Happy Birthday, Everyone (hostess set), Watercolour Wings
Butterflies Thinlits
Blackberry Bliss ink
Pearl Basic Jewels

It's another simple but effective one.

Don't forget you can see it for real and get the paper by having a party or making a £45 order until the end of March :-)

A wreath isn't just for Christmas!

I used the Wondrous Wreath bundle lots at Christmas and the good news is that the stamp set & framelits are still available to buy in the new seasonal catalogue.

Of course it is never too early to make a few Christmas cards but how lovely is this for a spring card too?

I've only just thought that this embossing folder is no longer available - I do hope you got one before it was too late!  I'll make another sample with a different folder.

Focusing on the rest though I have used the following:
Blushing Bride card & ink for the base card, bow & flowers
Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow ink for the wreath

Finished with some pearls.

Bright & Beautiful

There's no getting away from Christmas sneaking up on us - the shops seem to have suddenly filled up with it all!

This is a nice and easy card but effective.

I have embossed all the stamping with gold embossing powered.

Items used:
Garden Green & Very Vanilla cardstock
Bright & Beautiful stamp set (sentiment included)
Stars Framelits
Gold Metallic Baker's Twine
Pearls

Flower Patch

Today's card uses the very popular Flower Patch stamp set which has been out of stock since catalogue launch but I finally got my set!

You won't be surprised to hear it comes with a set of matching framelits - I think I will be using this set a lot.

Base card is Crumb Cake with a layer embossed with Decorative Dots embossing folder.

Some gold baker's twine added under the oval framelits - sentiment is also in the stamp set.

Ink colours used:
Hello Honey
Tangelo Twist
Pear Pizzazz
Rose Red
Lost Lagoon
Mossy Meadow

A few pearls to finish off as well!

Owl badge

Hello - I have returned (and am still rather exhausted).

A quick post today just to share my name badge which I made to take to the Telford Stampin' Up training day yesterday.

The badges had to be no smaller than A7 size (mine is a teensy bit bigger) and have a hole punched for the lanyard we got on registration.

The base card is naturals white and has been overlaid with some baked brown sugar with the hardwood stamp stamped in early espresso.

I've used a circle punch & scallop circle punch to make the 'hole' for the very cute owl to peer out of - so cute!  His chest has a bit of in colour DSP.

I printed my name on the base card and have used the word window and modern label to make a window feature of this too.

Pistachio pudding leaves from the bird punch and some more gorgeous petite petals in crisp cantaloupe & strawberry slush - finished with pearls.

I was quite pleased with it and it's always nice when someone likes it so much they want to take a picture!

Loads more to share another day (what I am allowed to share anyway - I can't show you my lovely free gifts yet, hee hee).

So Very Grateful

This card is another from our Bloomin' Buds shoebox morning and was Jenny's card.

The card uses all the 2012-14 in colours which I love.

Embossing folder is one from the recent sale-a-bration but it will be in the new main catalogue.

Flowers and sentiment are from 'so very grateful' in the current seasonal catalogue.  We cut the image out and coloured in with the Stampin' Write markers then 3D'd a couple of the flowers before adding pearls.

Oval framelit in coastal cabana pricked with the occasions paper piercing pack.

Sentiment punched out with modern label punch and some of the gold baker's twine from the seasonal added before mounting.
