As today is the official last day of the seasonal catalogue I have finally done something I've been meaning to do for months!
If you have a seasonal catalogue, on page 26 there is an image which I have been meaning to replicate since I made it my cover photo on Facebook. Someone commented on how nice it was and had to say it was a Stampin' Up! publicity image but you could of course make your own.
This is the image:
I'm afraid I've had a bag next to my computer so long to do this that it has now made it so a safe place so the one I've used is rather bigger. I also don't have one die in my collection but the theory was that it could be replicated and here it is:
The papers are no longer available but the brilliant Botanical Builder framelits and Botanical Blooms are in the main catalogue from tomorrow so that's great news.
New catalogue goes live tomorrow!!!

Froggy loves you lots!
A couple of cards to catch up today.
Firstly, this one using the new DSP called Affectionately Yours:
I've picked out the colours of Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight and Mint Macaron to stamp and punch some butterflies and I've added a sentiment from Cottage Greetings.
And then this rather cute chap is from a new hostess set called Love you Lots.
I've stamped him on Emerald Envy and cut him out and layered up with some DSP from the Playful Palette stack. The 'you' is in the same stamp set and I've used hearts from the confetti hearts punch to finish.
Using some Lots of Labels framelits I've layered everything on a notecard cut from Very Vanilla card stock.

Swirly seas
A completely different take on the Swirly Bird stamp set and matching Swirly Scribbles Thinlits.
There is so much that can be done with this set.
I've used the large swirl thinlit for the sea with some sponging behind.
The boat is made up of 4 stamps from the set, the sun is from Kinda Eclectic and the clouds from Sprinkles of Life.
I've then sneaked in a banner from the the Thoughtful Banners set (with matching punch!).

Yay!
This is a card I made for a swap at our Bloomin' Buds meeting this week, another Pinterest inspiration from here.
I've used a colour combo of Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo and Tip Top Taupe.
The main stamp set is called Playful Backgrounds, another useful background stamp I think.
The sentiment and star are in the set Confetti Celebration - the star of course matches a punch!
I will be putting in an order on 1st June for anyone that 'has' to have anything straight off the blocks - there will be endless other opportunities though.

Sugarplum Butterfly
Jenny challenged us this week to come up with 3 or 4 different colours that would go with the new colour Sweet Sugarplum.
This is a card I made to do that:
I've used the colours Night of Navy, Smoky Slate and Pink Pirouette, with the Sweet Sugarplum being the top colour.
I've used the Timeless Textures stamp set and a sentiment from a gorgeous new hostess set called Love you Lots.
The butterfly is cut from the Bloomin' Heart thinlit and then the Bold Butterfly framelit.
The little flowers are also in the Bloomin' Heart set.

RAWR!
Let's start the week on some nice bright colours!
This is a little picture frame coming to a craft fair near me (and maybe you!) soon.
It uses a fab set called 'No Bones About It which will still be available in the new catalogue.
The dinosaurs are stamped using the two-step method which means you can use quite funky colours too!!
All stamps are from the same set and I've mounted the piece on some Pacific Point before adding to the frame.

Catch Up
Apologies Mr Blogger wouldn't let me update this in the week so I'll add a couple of pics today.
The first one being the card to go with the bag that I added in my last post:

This card was made using the papers to co-ordinate with the bag and the ever useful Number of Years stamp and framelits set.
For something new today I've had a teeny play with a new set coming called Swirly Bird with matching Swirly Scribbles thinlits.
This is a cute little gift bag for a 'little something':
I've used Tip Top Taupe, Old Olive and Flirty Flamingo for colours and another sneaky new set called Thoughtful Banners (which of course comes with a matching punch!).

Happy Birthday Alison
Happy 'special' Birthday to Alison for today.
I've made another Crafty Hallett bag and used the colour way that Julie Kettlewell featured a few weeks ago.
I've used the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper from the seasonal catalogue and the ever-popular Number of Years stamp set.

Birthday pop-up
I've just treated myself to the party pop-up thinlits as they are continuing in the catalogue next year.
This card uses some of the It's my Party Designer Series Paper and a balloon from the Celebrate Today set.
This is the DSP and pop-up inside the card.

Sneak peek of the week
This weeks sneak peek is completely stolen from a card that Julie Kettlewell showed us at OnStage in Telford recently.
I thought it was a fab idea. Julie always has lovely ideas, if you don't already follow her blog it is here: http://juliesjapes.blogspot.co.uk
This card uses ALL the stamps in a new set called Confetti Celebration and is great for a mens card. I've since seen one in more girly colours too so will try that another day.
Colours used are Smoky Slate and the new Emerald Envy and Dapper Denim and a bit of ink on the Brick Wall embossing folder.

Anniversary
For my Wedding Anniversary today I had an idea of what I wanted on a card - as is always the case it didn't really end up that way!
I've used the stamp set In the Meadow and used a water brush to take some of the colour from each image to shade it.
The ribbon is retired but soft suede to match.
The sentiment comes from the set Timeless Love and I've used the Little Numbers Framelits with a 'th' from the Number of Years set to finish.

New goodies are coming
They are here - I have taken delivery of my first batch of catalogues.
If you aren't on my list already and 'need' to have one let me know.
I think it's a super catalogue - let me know what you think when you've seen it.

Curvy Dog!
A quick post to share this cute curvy keepsake to start the week.
Not only are these rather appealing but you can put a little present or treat inside them too.
This one has also used quite a few punches - let me know if you want to know about any in particular!

A sunny day
Hopefully the lovely sunny weather will continue like the sun in this card!
I've used the stamp set Kinda Eclectic for this card and the colours Always Artichoke, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze.
It also uses matching DSP, 2 butterfly punches and oval framelits.
