Pyramid Cards

At our local club night last night I showed the ladies how to make pyramid cards.

This was chosen after seeing one of my Brussels swaps and thinking it was a bit different.

I've used one of the colour combos in the spring catalogue of Wisteria Wonder, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay.

This is one of the sides.  I've used some paper from the Have a Cuppa DSP.

The sentiment is from Circle of Spring and I've layered it on punched circles to match.

This fab flower is made using the Friends & Flowers stamp set and Festive Flower Builder Punch - great to be able to use it for things other than poinsettias.

The final side has more DSP and some butterflies from Kinda Eclectic that have also been punched out.

They are rather fun for something different and think it went down well.

Dotty swaps

These are the swaps that I made for our Bloomin' Buds meeting last week.

I've used the in colour DSP and made a mini treat bag.
These have then got some dotted lace trim tied round them and are topped with a mug from the cup & kettle framelit dies.

The sentiment that goes really well with it is from Balloon Celebrations.
The heart die is also in the set and I've used the Word Window and Washi Label punch to finish.

I did 10 using several different colour combinations - and added a sachet of hot chocolate of course.

Birthday Boy

Another bright card for a rather mixed weather week!

This cute chap is from the Snow Place stamp set that is still available (and not just for Christmas!).

The balloons are from a new set called Balloon Celebration, I have stamped the body of the balloon in one colour and used a further stamp to go over the top with detail in a different colour.
I have punched one out with the matching punch and 3D'd it.

The sentiment is from the Hello Sale-a-bration set that is only available until 15th Feb and it has been punched out with the Word Window.

Colours used:
Card & ink - Cucumber Crush & Basic Black
Balloon colours:
Pool Party & Tempting Turquoise
Watermelon Wonder & Real Red
Daffodil Delight and Delightful Dijon

Happy 100th Birthday

It's not every day you get to make a 100th Birthday card but I have as today it was my Grandma's birthday.

I loved using the new Number of Years set to create this card - I shall be using it lots!

The background paper is from the Birthday Bouquet DSP set and contains the colours Watermelon Wonder, Blushing Bride and Pool Party which then are used throughout the card.

I also had to take the opportunity to take a picture of my card next to 'the' birthday card, a very special one indeed.

I have also used Old Olive ink for the leaves, the Large Numbers Framelits, Pool Party Glitter Ribbon and Watermelon Wonder 1" Stitched Satin Ribbon.

Finished with a few pearls and I have 3D'd a few of the flowers.

You Can Create It

This is the kit we had for our January 'You Can Create It' challenge:

All very pink for my liking!
I tried thinking outside the box, to do something that wasn't the obvious romantic card - but after much thinking I hadn't really had a breakthrough, so this is what I ended up with:

The kit had:
Rose Red & Blushing Bride card, Glimmer Paper and Love Blossoms DSP.

I have also used:
Whisper White card, Sweetheart Punch, Itty Bitty heart punch, Curvy Corner Trio punch, Confetti Hearts Border & Little Letters Thinlits.
