A Wreath double

Today I'm back with a Christmas card of the week 'double-bubble'!!

For the Christmas card I have used the set Wondrous Wreath which has some matching framelits of course!

I've used the colours Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green and Real Red.

Then, I've used exactly the same design for a non-Christmas design.
For this one I've used the colours I've used a favourite combo of mine - Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry.

Pink Christmas

A little bit of Christmas today but not in traditional colours.

Now I'm getting on better cutting out intricate dies I thought it was safe to play with the Delicate Ornament thinlits again.

I've used a colour combo of Old Olive, and Blushing Bride with a hint of silver.

The Embellished Ornament stamp set co-ordinate with the framelits and I've used it for the leaves and stamped ornament.

Sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments an punched with Classic Label.

Bloomin' Daffodils

I have been trying to fit in a few cards using stamps I haven't showcased yet.

I saw this card on Pinterest which takes you to Oksana's Creative Corner and had to try it with the 'What I Love' set that is currently a freebie with Sale-a-bration.

I've used her colour suggestion of Delightful Dijon, Hello Honey and Daffodil Delight for the flowers with Old Olive for the leaves.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set (punched out of course) and I've finished with a layer of Smoky Slate and 2 little banner punches in Silver Glimmer Paper - all layered on a Daffodil Delight card.

This is a two-step stamp in photopolymer and lovely to use - I'll have to try the other colour combos.

You Can Create It

This is the kit we had for our January 'You Can Create It' challenge:

All very pink for my liking!
I tried thinking outside the box, to do something that wasn't the obvious romantic card - but after much thinking I hadn't really had a breakthrough, so this is what I ended up with:

The kit had:
Rose Red & Blushing Bride card, Glimmer Paper and Love Blossoms DSP.

I have also used:
Whisper White card, Sweetheart Punch, Itty Bitty heart punch, Curvy Corner Trio punch, Confetti Hearts Border & Little Letters Thinlits.

Pop over to Monica's blog to see some of the other players: http://monicas-passions.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/you-can-create-it-uk.html

Another CAS card using the set Seasonally Scattered  which has the words Merry, Love and Thanks in it in a similar style.

This is heat embossed with gold powder and layered on very vanilla, gold glimmer paper and kraft card.

Festival of Trees

This card uses another lovely set - well, they are all lovely aren't they?!

It is also great value as the photopolymer stamp set featuring 13 stamps is only £13.95 or £24.95 with the matching punch.

The set is called Festival of Trees and the colours used in this card pick up those in the All is Calm Designer Series Paper I have used in the background and are Lost Lagoon and Pear Pizzazz.

Teeny Tiny Sentiments used with Bitty Banner Framelits, lost lagoon silky taffeta ribbon, silver glimmer paper punched out for star and finished with some gems.

I hope to make lots more samples using this fab set.

Party cards

Last night Elsie kindly hosted a Stampin' Up party which 12 lovely ladies attended.

I did a couple of demos and this was my make and take card.

I've used the Gorgeous Grunge set - hence me having little play recently.  This card uses all 5 stamps in the set.

Colours used were Smoky Slate and Island Indigo to give the card a male 'look'.
Silver would also be a great substitute for the Smoky Slate.

This card was CASEd from a workshop I did a while ago.

Banner Framelits used as decoration, the largest has been embossed with the Chevron embossing folder, the middle one uses paper from the 12x12 Designer Series Paper Stack.

Sentiment from the hostess set Express Yourself.

I also made one in Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe to show how the different colours make a very different card, even with the same stamps.

I have used the Bitty Banner Happy Birthday stamp and matching framelit for the sentiment on this one to also show something different.

My original card did use the silver glimmer paper but I realised a bit late SU currently don't have a star punch so I added nothing to the male version but added 3 little sparkly punched circles to the girl version!
