Still here (nearly!)

Another week passes, many apologies for the lack of cards I hope to remedy this shortly - extra hours at work and some bike races have put pay to being on top of things this week.

So, just passing with a few reminders:

- only a couple of days left to join Stampin' Up for £50 (remember this joining fee means you spend £50 on whatever you want in the catalogue to the value of £55).

- Weekly Deals are still going - this weeks include the gold or silver encore pad for only £6.71 amongst other things.

- If you have a new copy of the catalogue and would like to add anything to my order let me know by Monday and I'll pass on for free.  If you 'need' a few bits I'll post it directly to you (not all Blendabilities are available on 1st July so please ask if you want any).

- If you haven't got a catalogue I can supply one for £4.50 or free if you are going to host a party.

I shall be back shortly (honest) with some cards to tempt you with all the new goodies!

Birds in Lost Lagoon!

A version today of a card I first tried the other day on my sister blog JillsQuills (that one had retired SU goodies).

At Telford training recently one of the demos made a card using framelits which I thought was so effective I had to try it.  This card uses the Deco Labels set.

The beach/water/sky in this are stamped using the new Work of Art set I've had on my sneak peek from the new catalogue.  Inks used are crumb cake, lost lagoon & soft sky (quite aptly in the main part).

The lovely birds are from the Wetlands set and you can just see the grasses from the same set peeking in at the sides.

The girls at Crafty Bunch really enjoyed having a go last week with this card.

Back tomorrow with more weekly deals and hopefully another card.

Hope anyone with a new catalogue is enjoying it?!

Work of Art teaser

This card is in fact just a 4x4" card made from the new Blackberry Bliss card - I'll try not to make everything from it but I can't promise!

The paper is also from a new mini pad and the ribbon matches the new in colour Hello Honey.

I've used a new stamp set from my sneak peek purchase called Work of Art which has 11 stamps in.  I've used 6 on this card and just for fun I've used all 5 new in colour inks!!

The sentiment is punched out with the Artisan Label punch.

So many things to add to your 1st July wish list!

Razzleberry Flowers

As promised, a card made using the new Blendabilities pens from Stampin' Up!

I've used a stamp from the Secret Garden set which has matching framelits but unfortunately it is a set that is retiring at the the of June.

I've coloured the flowers in Rich Razzleberry pens.  You get 3 pens in a set, one true colour and 2 shades of this colour to give you the shading effect.  I've used Daffodil Delight for the flower centre and Old Olive on the leaves.  I am rather taken with them - especially when everything else matches too!!

I've used the Starburst Framelits to make the card and layered with Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White.

Sentiment from Label Love, cut out with matching punch and layered on Decorative Label punch.

A teeny bit of crystal effects added to the flower centres to finish.

Sneak Peek!

My first play with some new goodies today.

This is a note card sized card (5x3.5") but I've cut the base from the new Blackberry Bliss card - how scrummy is that?!

The stamp set Work of Art contains 11 stamps, I've used 5 on the front of this card, and this can be yours from 1st July!!  This is another stamp set that I wouldn't of gone for but have seen some lovely cards so felt the need to have a go.

I've also added some of the gorgeous new stitched satin ribbon in Hello Honey.

Purely for research purposes I have also just been playing with the new Blendabilities so pop back tomorrow to see what I've done popped on a card!

New catalogues are here!

So much for an evening of getting on top of a few things - 2 boxes from Mr UPS was far too distracting.  I also now have quite a supply of brand new 2013-14 catalogues (the ones that are only current until end of June) which you can have for free if you haven't already got one or would like an un-thumbed copy to keep!  Let me know.

New catalogues (2014-15) available from me for £4.50 for local delivery/pick up.

Weekly Deals are continuing indefinitely so check out the side bar again for this weeks offers - it never ends does it?!

I have a few new goodies to play with now so hope to tempt you with those soon.

In the meantime this card is a shoebox card that Jenny did for us recently in Telford.

It uses all the lovely colours that are about to retire - don't forget to stock up on card, ink & refills - tee hee.

It also uses the stamp set Betsy's Blossoms which will also not continue in to the new catalogue.  A shame as I'd only just started to use it typically.

The sentiment is from Itty Bitter Banners and was cut out by hand but you can use the matching framelits.

Edges were also pricked using the Essentials Paper Pricking pack and tool - a really nice finishing touch.

I can't believe I have a couple of commissions to sort before playing!!!

Weekly Sketch

Jenny my upline has been giving us a sketch each week as a challenge to see what we all create, it's great to see how everyone interprets the design with different stamp sets, colours & ideas.

This is mine for this week:

The base card is crumb cake which picks up one of the colours in the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack which I've used on either side of the card.

I've added some whisper white card in the centre and cut a circle using the Circle Framelits, then edged it with the pricking tool and Essentials paper-piercing pack.

Flowers both stamped in coastal cabana - the larger from Flower Shop, smaller from Petite Petals and yes, with matching punches!

Flower centre is a real red candy dot in a brad base - so effective.

The crumb cake banner is more 3D than the picture gives it credit for and I've added an Itty Bitty Banner sentiment to this to finish.
