Hippos & Hydrangeas!

An eclectic selection of cards this week.

Firstly I’m afraid the lovely Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper has (as predicted) sold out, there’ll be no more fussy cutting like I did for this notecard unless you were lucky to get some for your stash.

Then I had a play with the Hydrangea Hill Suite which has a lovely selection of colours in it - Rococo Rose, Highland Heather, Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight and Old Olive.  These A5 cards could be suitable for lots of occasions, mine were for Mother’s Day.

In contrast I then had a bit of play with the Hippo Happiness bundle!

There are 27 stamps in this set, some two-step to give detail to the animals.  There are also 25 dies which not only cut out the animals and embellishments but also have some fab stitched layering dies.

Off to see what I can rustle up next.

Colourful butterflies

A couple more Butterfly Bouquet offerings today to brighten up a very grey day.

This card was inspired by a lovely frame that Catherine Lemonnier made.  I’ve used the butterfly die to cut the butterflies from white card then popped one from our lovely Designer Series Paper up in its place.  Layered on the black it really pops.  This card is A5 in size.  Catherine’s was in a larger black frame and was really striking.

This smaller card also uses the Butterly Bijou 6x6” paper to make a starburst.  The little butterflies are also cut from one of the pieces.
I’m also known for not being a fan of pink so I’ve teamed the paper with card, ribbon and enamel dots in Magenta Madness.

Fluttering in to Spring

So, there is always something going on with Stampin’ Up! and in building up to the new catalogue in May they have released the Butterfly Bouquet Bundle early.  The stamp set and dies will be in the catalogue but they have also released some gorgeous papers that are only available while stocks last that co-ordinate with the set.

I did a Facebook Live over on my JillStampsUp page yesterday (which I understand can be viewed if you aren’t a member) to showcase the products and will share the projects on here.

For today an 8x8” frame I made using the Natural Touch Speciality Paper for the background and the Brilliant Wings Dies to cut the lovely butterflies from the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper.

The 8x8” frame also has some of our Opal Rounds in it which catch the light for a little sparkle.

These are the flyers which you can hopefully see if you ‘need’ to buy anything!

Contact me if you have any questions.  I’ll be back to share more and show case the chickens I’ve been playing with too!
