More Wild About Flowers

Another thanks to Teri for this idea which again showcases the Wild About Flowers stamp set.

Colours I've used are Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.

The background stamp is the new Watercolour Wash stamp which is a great space filler.

I've cut the image out using one of the new Lots of Labels framelits and layered it on the largest framelit which I've also pricked with the accompanying template.  The flowers are stamped out again, fussy cut and added with 3D pads for a bit of extra dimension.

The sentiment is from the Cottage Greetings set - it's a lovely font isn't it?

Don't forget I have an order going in next week if you 'need' anything.

Birthday cards

As mentioned in a previous post I popped down to Poole last week for a Bloomin' Buds meeting where we did some lovely projects which I might not share yet as I might use them for a future project!

I was a very lucky girl and everyone that came brought along a birthday card for me - it was fab to open them Friday morning, so here they are:

A lovely selection and some great ideas.

Don't forget to check out the latest weekly deals on Wednesday - I shall be placing another order on 4th August when I am pre-ordering new Christmas goodies - I need the time to decide what to play with first!

Thank you flowers

Apologies again as I meant to add a card before the weekend but got very distracted by our demo sneak peek at the new seasonal catalogue.  I'm a demo because I love the products anyway but the catalogue is fabulous - get saving the pennies!!

As promised in my last post I've used Wild about Flowers again but the full stamp so you can see some of the lovely foliage.  This card was CASED from Teri's Facebook page, she always has lovely cards and you can see many more here on her blog.

I've used different colours - still trying to be more adventurous which you can be as the Stampin' Up! colours go so well together.

For this card I've used Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe.  The light in the picture makes the Watermelon look a bit more orange than it really is but awful weather isn't great for photos!

I've used some paper from the in colour DSP stack and my new Lots of Labels framelits for the image, layer and the teeny sentiment.  The new updated Essentials paper piercing pack also includes these framelit shapes and adds a little something to the layer.  The Thank You is from Banner Banter.

Finished with some of the matching Dotted Lace Trim tied with a little thread from the white jute ribbon.

Wild about flowers

Hello to any new viewers I met at the weekend, it was super to come across Stampin' Up fans I hadn't met before.

I'm off to meet up with some of the Bloomin' Buds in Poole tomorrow which is always a lovely morning.

This is the card I've made for a swap this month which was another Pinterest steal:

The card base and extra layer are Crumb Cake.

The raised layer has some score lines from Simply Scored on it which I think is really effective.

I've said this before but this new stamp set is brilliant!!
It's called Wild About Flowers and is a photopolymer set with 12 stamps in.  It was soooo easy and quick to use.  There are 3 different 'stems' and 3 different sets of flower heads which go with a particular stem.  Because you can see through the stamps it was a delight to use so the flowers sit where they should.

It was quicker to do all the prep and stamping for 9 of these than it was to stick them all together.

I've wrapped some linen thread around the card under the score lines and added a little bow.  The flowers are cut out using a 1 3/8" punch.

The sentiment is from the Tin of Cards stamp set and stamped in Early Espresso.

I hope this has tempted you - I'll try to do a card next showing off the full stems on a card.

Celebrate

And another week bites the dust!

This picture wasn't taken in the best light but I hope it gives you a taster of a quick and easy card.

I've used the new thick Whisper White for the card base and the stamp set Awesomely Artistic stamped in Crumb Cake and Watermelon Wonder.

The dragonfly is from the same set and I've heat embossed this with gold powder and cut it out - the light doesn't do this justice!

Flowers punched from Itty Bitty Punch to match and a border of the new Designer Series Paper along the bottom of the card.

The sentiment is from a new set of embellishments called 'Expressions Natural Elements'.  You get a set of wood veneer words (5 each of Congrats, Celebrate and Thanks) for £4.50 - rather nice for something different and I've just used some tombow to stick it to the card.

Circle of Spring

Sorry I didn't get a chance to set up any posts before I popped 'up north' for a bit!

See where I went over on Jill's Quills.

Had to have a quick play today and the Circle of Spring stamp set was a must have as it uses the framelits that also go with the Wondrous Wreath stamp set which is the Christmas version, really glad it's back in the catalogue as I loved it and it's very versatile.

Materials used in this card are:
Cardstock & Stampin' Write Markers: Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Sahara Sand
Stamp set: Circle of Spring
Punches: 1" & 1 1/4" circle, Washi Label, Itty Bitty Flower
Embossing Folder: Boho Chic
Pearl Basic Jewels

Keep an eye on the Weekly Deals - the magnetic platform has £11 off this week and the gift box punch board is also one of the items on offer.

You can Create It - June

This is the kit I received for the challenge in June:

We have to use at least a bit of every item in the kit.

I decided not to make a card this time to challenge myself a bit more.

I used the Gift Bag thinlit and turned the 3 banner punched pieces into bookmarks by using the Tag Topper punch on the other end.

I ran the gift bag through the Fluttering embossing folder and have used a selection of Watercolor Wings butterflies and the little one from Kinda Eclectic to add to the project.

I've used the Neutral DSP stack to add a strip to the bookmarks and finished them with little vellum flowers, pearls and a bow from the bag thinlits.

Monica's blog here is showcasing some this month.
