Bermuda Bay Butterflies

Some more blatant CASE-ing today - but I had to - how gorgeous is this card?

Julies Japes had this card and I've even used the same colour because I loved it.

Bermuda Bay is the colour used and these are the stamps and punches used:
Something Lacy
Butterfly Basics
Memorable Moments
Extra-large oval punch
Decorative label punch
Butterfly thinlits dies
Organza ribbon

I will have to try it in another colour now too.

We are more than half way through Sale-a-bration too now - don't forget to collect all the freebies you can before it's too late.  If you fancy a party let me know, all you have to do is provide a table with a few chairs for the evening and invite a few like minded friends round for a lovely crafty evening.

Love Life

This card is made using one of the sale-a-bration sets called A Happy Thing.

I've stamped the lemon in memento ink and coloured with Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.

The sentiment is from the same set.

Just some matching Wild Wasabi card for layers and a strip of paper from the Painted Blooms DSP and an organza bow.

A couple of punches and the Darling Doily die are on this weeks Weekly Deals - don't forget to check them out!

Berry Basket Hostess Gift

Not the best picture of this project but I shall be making more and will take pictures in better light to share another day.

This is what I made as a hostess gift last week.

It uses the new Berry Basket die that I didn't think I'd like as much as I do!!

It's a really nice size basket - not too big but big enough to put a few goodies in.

This one is made from baked brown sugar card which I have also put through the Woodgrain embossing folder.

It is decorated with leaves from the Flower Fair framelits and flowers from Petal Potpourri - with matching punch!

Oh, and I had to add a little ribbon punched bow on the top from DSP.

All colours used are the 2013-2015 in colours - I can't believe they will stop us having these after July!

Happy Valentines Day

Another great stamp set (of course!).

This card is made using the new Sheltering Tree set which is very versatile.
It's a two-step stamping set again so you can add elements as you go including a swing from the tree!

I have used the following for this card:
Ink - Early Espresso, Blushing Bride, Old Olive, Black Memento.
Card - Real Red, Whisper White
Punch - Owl Builder
Silver embossing powder

Weekly Deals

I forgot to bring some of this weeks deals to your attention - how could I?!

The magnetic platform (a must have!) is reduced from £35.95 to £26.96 and the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlit is reduced from £29.95 to £22.46 - do have a peek at the Weekly Deals page.

These are great prices for goodies that are a little more costly.

Butterfly make and take

A successful party this week for Andrea (& Gill!).  This is the card I did for the make and take:

It uses the very gorgeous Butterfly Basics set again and the matching thinlit dies to cut out the large butterfly.

All the stamps come from the same set and I've used 3 ink colours - Rich Razzleberry, Smoky Slate and Old Olive.

The little butterfly has a matching punch (of course) and I've added some gems to the large butterfly.

The leaf pattern on the left hand side is from a piece of card which you can get free with a sale-a-bration purchase and is called Irresistibly Yours - a popular freebie this week and one that the catalogue really doesn't do justice to!

Golden Feathers

This is another card we made at Bloomin' Buds last week.

The base is one of the mini note cards & envelopes in crumb cake that you can buy in a pack of 20.

We used the Four Feathers stamp set and embossed in gold on vellum and cut out with the matching framelits.

Sentiment from Hey You and finished with some glimmer card stock, designer button and linen thread.

We also used a white gel pen on the dots on the feather which gives a good effect.

Off to Andrea & Gill's party tomorrow so will try & share the make & take - but no sneaky peeks today!

Lotus in pink

We had a lovely little Bloomin' Buds meeting this week - we missed several of the girls but those of us that went had a good old chat and craft!

Jane kindly did a 'show and tell' this time with several cards using the Lotus Blossom Sale-a-bration set and we had a go at this one.

Colour combo is Crumb Cake and Melon Mambo.
The base image of the lotus is with craft white which makes it stand out beautifully on the base card.

I even managed to sort a better bow with a spot of tuition!!

Butterfly Basics

I have started to play with some more samples you will be pleased to here - handy for the party I am doing next week, my stash and to use up all the stuff that keeps magically appearing!!  Today a Scrapbook even appeared - those that know me well might indeed think I have lost it now.

Keep watching to see why I have purchased one!

Anyway, I have made some swap cards for the Bloomin' Buds this week.  Again, I tried something a little out of my normal makes.

Pinterest was the inspiration for this one again.

I've used a card base of Crumb Cake and used the ink to stamp the sentiment and fern from the new Butterfly Basics set which is rather lovely actually!

I've then layered a 2.5" circle of Best Year Ever DSP (currently a SAB freebie) on a doily and cut in half.

The butterfly is cut from Pool Party with one of the gorgeous Butterfly thinlit dies and in the middle I've added a little flower from the rosette trim that comes with the Artisan Embellishment kit.  You get nearly 46cm of trim which provides 25 flowers and thats just one element of the kit.

I also have to point out here that if you buy the Butterfly Basics stamp set in photopolymer with the matching thinlit dies as a bundle AND the embellishment kit you have spent £45.20 - just enough for a Sale-a-bration freebie - what a good idea!!!  hee hee.

Spring Wreath

Another card today using the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and matching framelits.

I saw this on Pinterest and thought the colours were lovely.

The wreath is Pistachio Pudding, other card colours used are:
Wisteria Wonder
So Saffron
Pink Pirouette
Soft Sky
The flowers are punched out with the Boho Blossoms punch.

The sentiment is from the new Butterfly Basics set and I've finished with pearls and some organza ribbon.
